Short Day

Here's a beautiful shot from yesterday evening:
So...
We only went about 6 something miles today. We are here at another campground and are greatly enjoying a leisurely evening resting and healing our sore bodies from a very tough day yesterday.
We ended up breaking camp just before 1pm today and the six miles we did were full of beautiful views and grassy pastures. We even caught the attention of a small herd of steer who all stood staring at us, agape mouths full of dry grasses, as we passed on by. It was a funny thing to see. :)

The umbrella is working! Look how pale my head still is! Legs not so much...
Shady break spot
Road underpass
Hungry cat graffiti! (Note: we don't condone tagging anywhere along the trail... but we are suckers for cats)
Beginning of the grassy pasture area
We couldn't believe all the green!

Relaxing with a small fire
It's been another awesome day and thankfully today was much less challenging than yesterday. We are planning on another easy-ish day tomorrow to help ease us into our journey. Feeling very grateful for our experience thus far... and for the fact that we're even out here at all.
Loving life and living it to the fullest today. Thinking of all our family and friends out there.
